What is Religion and what is Judaism?
Religion is a part of culture as it expresses respect, belief, worship and celebration. Ritual helps to shape religion as it demonstrates patterns of worship which includes sacraments, preaching and the rites of that passage. Religion is the bond within the community or the faith that they feel towards their God. Every religion has a Myth which uses a story to explain our religion and human conditions. The belief system of a Religion is crucial as it is the attempt to answer questions. A moral dimension in a religion is a big part as it leads to moral responsibility and what is right or wrong. Finally the social side of religion is also very important and it allows the community to own a sense of belonging and to have a feeling of being a part of something special. All of these characteristics make up what religion actually is.
Judaism has many Important beliefs and the main is that they believe that there is only one God. They believe that we can talk to God through prayer and everyday life. Judaism believes that everyone is connected and that everyone equal no matter what they look like. They believe that the Torah is the most important text in which they must respect and worship.
